Koss · Closed-back · Not documented
The A/250 is one of the least documented headphones Koss made. We know it existed because Koss's old website carried a product image of it, and replacement-pad sellers list it with the A/130 and the ESP/950 as taking the same around-ear pads. Its year, impedance and even whether it's open or closed aren't documented anywhere we could check, and it doesn't appear on Koss's own history timeline. We've kept it with the closed headphones, where the old version of this site filed it, but check the cups in the photos. Don't confuse it with Koss's current A/550 flagship or the KDE250 earclip from 2009.
Before you plug in
No fault is documented. On any headphone this obscure, worn pads and a damaged cord are the risks, since parts are hard to identify.
New to used headphones? How to check a used pair covers pads, cables, channel dropouts and fakes, and impedance and your amp explains what will drive it.
We haven’t been through this model’s listings yet. Search eBay and run every listing through the checklist above. Ask for close photos of the pads, the headband and both ends of the cable, and pass on any seller who won’t send them.
